Broccoli Hill Results

The wild weather held off today for approximately 40 participants to enjoy the orienteering event at Broccoli Hill. This area is renowned for its navigational challenge and again lived up to its reputation with several casualties today!

There were a few notable performances however: Austin Clem had only a couple of minor errors in his great run around Course 1 in a time 45:24s.

Jess Muller used careful and accurate navigational skills to finish first on Course 2 in 1:44:41s.

Graeme McConnell was first finisher on Course 3 in 1:24:42s, ahead of Gary Ettridge who spent a little longer on course than anticipated, but was an awesome effort to finish considering the rough terrain.

Course 4 showcased the skills of a couple of relative newcomers to orienteering with Tim Doyle finishing first in the individual catagory, and Kellie and Axel Taylor winning the group category in an impressive time of 45:44s.

Lee Russell called on her experience in this terrain to finish first on Course 5, with the SA Pathology group taking out the group category.

And the Mercer family made excellent time around Course 6, to finish in 32:40s.
