Louth Bay Results

Warm and blustery conditions greeted the approx 30 competitors at today’s cross-country orienteering event at Louth Bay. Course organisers Barry and Jan Hetherington had meticulously planned 5 courses which required careful route choice and accurate navigation amongst the sand dunes and golf course, as well as some faster sections around the town.

Course 1 was tightly contested with the first 3 competitors finishing within a few minutes of each other – Phil Clem narrowly coming in ahead of Alison Hoopmann and Austin Clem.

Marc Dickie had a good run to finish first on Course 2, and Cath Dickie put her previous course setting experience on this map to good use, to have the fastest time on Course 3. Patrice Glass and Lana Sheridan were quickest around courses 4 and 5 respectively.
