Mt Dutton Results

About 45 participants braved the imposing terrain of Mt Dutton at today’s orienteering event. The courses certainly provided a physical and technical challenge, and claimed a few casualties in the process! (Including one course setter who badly sprained his calf muscle while collecting controls!!)

It was great to see a few family groups as well as our regular orienteers out enjoying the day.

Austin Clem continued his good form taking out Course 1 in 54:41. On Course 2, Ben White used his excellent navigation skills to make good time finishing first in 1:20:23.

For the moderate courses, Karen McConnell was quickest around course 4 in 1:20:27, and Greg Moar finished first on Course 5 in 1:12:21. Course 6 was well utilised today and Jan Hetherington was quickest around in 1:03:48.

Well done to everyone who participated!  Select the link for full Results

Thanks to all helpers on the day, and to course setter Phil.

The next event will be the last of the season, so hope to see you all there, at Brinkworth Reserve in a fortnight.
