For the first cross country event of the season we travelled to the Kapinnie Lakes map north of Cummins. There were quite a few technology challenges on the day as well as some navigational challenges….I did hear that a couple of experienced orienteers had trouble finding the actual event and were therefore non-starters!!
For those that were in attendance, reports were that everyone had a wonderful day. Some new to orienteering enjoyed it so much they ended up doing 2 courses!! Well done!
A huge thank you to Tim and helpers for course setting and organising, especially for the extra travel time required to set this event.
