Lincoln Orienteers rounded off their 2025 season in style with a day of fun and friendship at Brinkworth Reserve. The celebrations began with participants trying out the brand-new permanent courses now available at the reserve, followed by a relaxed cuppa and sausage sizzle. After lunch, the group enjoyed a treasure hunt, with everyone successfully tracking
About 45 participants braved the imposing terrain of Mt Dutton at today’s orienteering event. The courses certainly provided a physical and technical challenge, and claimed a few casualties in the process! (Including one course setter who badly sprained his calf muscle while collecting controls!!) It was great to see a few family groups as well
It was a glorious day on the gurra yarda map, with brilliant sunshine and spectacular views greeting the competitors for the annual relay competition between Saltbush and Lincoln Orienteers. A contingent of dedicated orienteers made the journey down from Whyalla, with 4 teams representing Saltbush, and 6 teams from Port Lincoln. The home ground advantage

Thankfully the weather held off for today’s orienteering event at Cape Donington in Lincoln National Park. There was some challenging terrain to navigate through, particularly on the harder courses, so well done to all those who finished! Some challenging courses set by David Winters provided a few headaches for some, whilst others navigated very well around the tricky terrain. Connor Dickie had the fastest individual around Course 1 in 19:21s, just ahead of Ali Hoopmann with 19:53s.
