Lincoln Orienteers hosted the annual Eyre Peninsula Relay event at Stamford Beach in Lincoln National Park today. Teams competed over 3 different course difficulties with Lincoln managing a clean sweep of the trophies!! Well done to everyone who competed. Approx 50 competitors enjoyed a great day of orienteering at Cape Donington. A sheer delight was to see second and third generation Lincoln Orienteers from Dickie, McConnell and Dansie families. Lincoln Orienteers held a special event on Sunday to celebrate and acknowledge founding member, Kevin Vigar. Kevin has been involved in orienteering for close to 50 years and his foresight, leadership, guidance and passion have grown and nurtured Lincoln Orienteers into the club that exists today. Tim found a great shady spot for the start of the street/park event last night. Thirty three brave participants tackled the hills (and gullies) of the Rustlers Gully map!
